MAKE Technologies Addresses Top Goal of Reducing IT Costs

Researcher Says “Reducing IT cost is the top goal, and updating key legacy apps is the top software initiative for 2009 – 2010.”

Vancouver, BC, June 25, 2009 — MAKE Technologies, a leader in legacy application extraction, analysis and transformation.

Alex Woodie, at IT Jungle, mentions cost savings as the key motivation of application modernization among enterprises and SMBs. “The costs of operating monolithic legacy applications makes them unsustainable, and these survey results show that firms are seeking efficient ways to modernize,” said Jean Pierre Garbani, vice president and principal analyst at Forrester, as quoted by Woodie.

“For 9 years, we have been helping our clients in these issues,” said Christian Cotichini, founder of MAKE technologies. “We are raising awareness about urgencies of the issues, and helping CIOs to build strategic plans. One of our proven solutions is TLM:CORE.”

TLM:CORE gives a 360º view of any system by mapping business processes, code programs, and data elements in an interactive Web 2.0 repository. TLM:CORE turns black boxes of computer systems into visible assets, which allows analysts to visually navigate associations and dependencies among these 3 elements. By revealing the linkages, TLM:CORE lets customers determine where they can cut cost and how they can update key legacy apps.

At a time when corporations attempt to slash IT cost and transform legacy applications, TLM:CORE provides its customers with an approach for saving costs by providing a  360º view of any applications. To further address the corporations’ top concern, reducing IT cost, MAKE delivers TLM:CORE as a fixed-price engagement including education services.
