NexGen: Software Product Modernization can rebuild existing products on modern Java and .NET platforms at half the cost and one-fourth the risk of industry averages

NexGen: SPM combines MAKE’s Transformational Legacy Modernization software products and methodology with GlobalLogic’s Velocity™ Agile development platform to create an offering that is specifically honed to the needs of software product companies. NexGen: SPM makes it possible to cost-effectively re-architect software products so that they fully leverage Web 2.0 and SOA standards. The Opportunity:
A 4 month development project developing a new feature to our flagship product, TLM tools, within the product development team.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a small and focused product development group
- Collaborate with sales, product management, education, services and marketing groups
- Design, develop and deliver a Flex based interface on our flagship product
Required Skills:
- Five plus (5+) years of experience, successfully developing rich web based interfaces
- Two plus (2+) years of experience with ActionScript
- Development experience with Flash, Flex and Flex Builder
- Experience with usability, user interaction design and info-graphics
- Basic design skills
- Superior problem solving skills
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform comfortably in a fast paced, team and deliverables-oriented work environment
- Sensitivity to deadlines and to the impact work has on an overall project schedule
- Comfortable seeking peer and supervisory guidance on complex application challenges
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Java or JavaScript
- Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby or Groovy
- Experience with compiler or semantic technology
- A computer science degree from a recognized university
