Java Developers – filled
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver complex Java enterprise software products on schedule
- Communicate and work effectively with project managers, business analysts, developers, QA, and clients
- Work with client technical teams to determine the structure and function of the legacy system
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Five plus (5+) years of experience, successfully developing and supporting Java enterprise applications
- Experience with full lifecycle development projects
- Experience with Java EE, Java Server Faces, and Ajax
- Ability to design application components based on Java EE architecture and design patterns
- Familiarity with emerging architectural solutions and technologies
- Familiarity with relational database principles and with Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate or Toplink implementations)
- Superior problem solving skills
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, team and deliverables-oriented work environment
- Sensitivity to deadlines and to the impact work has on an overall project schedule
- Comfortable seeking peer and supervisory guidance on complex application challenges
- A Computer Science Degree from a recognized university
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal
- Experience with a wide range of technologies including: JBoss, OC4J, MySQL, Oracle, GOF and J2EE design patterns, SOA, EJB, JSP, JSTL, JMS, Hibernate, Toplink, XML, XSLT and UML.
Assets
- Experience with legacy systems (e.g. COBOL, RPG, Natural)
- Experience working with clients in a consulting environment
