Java Developers – filled


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver complex Java enterprise software products on schedule
  • Communicate and work effectively with project managers, business analysts, developers, QA, and clients
  • Work with client technical teams to determine the structure and function of the legacy system

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Five plus (5+) years of experience, successfully developing and supporting Java enterprise applications
  • Experience with full lifecycle development projects
  • Experience with Java EE, Java Server Faces, and Ajax
  • Ability to design application components based on Java EE architecture and design patterns
  • Familiarity with emerging architectural solutions and technologies
  • Familiarity with relational database principles and with Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate or Toplink implementations)
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, team and deliverables-oriented work environment
  • Sensitivity to deadlines and to the impact work has on an overall project schedule
  • Comfortable seeking peer and supervisory guidance on complex application challenges
  • A Computer Science Degree from a recognized university
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with a wide range of technologies including: JBoss, OC4J, MySQL, Oracle, GOF and J2EE design patterns, SOA, EJB, JSP, JSTL, JMS, Hibernate, Toplink, XML, XSLT and UML.

Assets

  • Experience with legacy systems (e.g. COBOL, RPG, Natural)
  • Experience working with clients in a consulting environment
