Director of Sales – Toronto/Montreal Region
The Opportunity
MAKE Technologies has created a powerful software product and methodology for the modernization of legacy applications to modern Java and .Net platforms. Prime targets are organizations with 20 or more developers that have existing custom software applications that are over 10 years old. Target rich markets include governments, insurance, financial services and any market segment with mission-critical legacy applications. The MAKE solution is a proven, low risk, cost-effective approach that is gaining widespread recognition in the marketplace. With a potential legacy modernization market estimated (by Gartner) to be in excess of $100 billion per year over the next decade, the opportunity is significant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Sales Executive with MAKE, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, presenting, following up and closing sales. Once closed, you will continue to be a key point of contact for the customer.
Key Responsibilities/Activities
- Sales and client management for all product and solutions within the territory assigned to you
- Lead generation, direct sales, quarterly forecasting and overall territory management.
- Working with major SI partners in large complex sales situations
- Effective territory and account management
- New account penetration
- Successfully lead prospective clients through all phases of the business sales cycle
- Consistent and timely usage of CRM (Sales Force)
- Meet/exceed an annual sales quota
Required Skills/Experience
Successful candidates will have:
- A superior sales track record in selling enterprise application solutions
- Extensive selling to senior IT management in the application development segment
- Experience selling to IT Development departments, Systems Integrators and Application Development companies
- Development and successful execution of territory, account and deal plans
- A solid track record of quota attainment
- The ability to establish contacts and sales in a new territory and exponentially grow the business
- Willing to travel
- The ability to independently work in an effective manner
- Superior presentation and communication skills are a given Assets
- 5+ years of referenced IT, software, and/or applications sales experience
- Strong personal management skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong foundations in business to business sales/account management methodologies
- Strong PC Skills (MS Office, etc.)
