Senior System Analyst (Contract to Full Time) – filled

The Opportunity


MAKE Technologies is looking for an experienced system analyst to join the best legacy modernization team in the world. You will be an integral part of the system, code and data analysis discipline and will work closely with our latest product releases.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team that modernizes mission critical legacy systems using a unique methodology
  • Parse and analyze artifacts in legacy systems and document the results using cutting-edge tools
  • Interact with a client side technical team to understand the operation of a legacy system


Requirements


  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (samples may be requested)
  • Work well with clients, their stakeholders and end users 

  • Experience with scripting languages (Ruby, Perl, Bash,…)
  • Experience as a system analyst on an enterprise software project


One or more of the following skills:


  • Knowledge of compiler design, grammars and parsers
  • Knowledge of 4GL languages (PRG, COBOL, Natural,…) and their structure
  • Knowledge of legacy database systems (VSAM, ADABAS,…)
